Château Villemaurine is an ancient estate in the heart of the Saint-Emilion limestone plateau. Fleming Justin Onclin took over this château from the Giraud family in 2007. Once the renovation of the estate was completed, the day-to-day management of Château Villemaurine passed to Onclin's daughter Carmen and her husband Luc Pasqueron, an oenologist.
The Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé Rouge is a beautiful dark red blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. It is a fleshy wine with a nice maturity. Easy to drink, this Saint-Emilion entices with aromas of oak, liquorice, black currant, cocoa, and plums. Ideal with red meat, ris de veau, and poultry.
